May the peace of God and the freshness of the Holy Spirit rest in your thoughts, rule in your dreams tonight, and conquer all your fears. May God manifest himself today in ways you have never experienced. May your joys be fulfilled, your dreams be closer, and your prayers be answered. I pray that faith enters a new height for you; I pray that your territory is enlarged. I pray for peace, healing, health, happiness, prosperity, joy, true and undying love for God. God promises a safe landing, not a calm passage. |

Glee
FOX has it easy when it comes to getting viewers to see their new shows. Just stick it after American Idol. Over the past 4 years of Ty and I have been sucked into House, Prison Break, and Lie to Me. All because of not changing the channel after American Idol!

Found Booty
Out at the friend's farm this weekend there was an old old old house which has been abandoned since the 70's. It was so creepy I did not want Ty to leave my side. The phrase "stay close, your too far, do not leave me" was said probably 20 times. It looks and feels like it is straight out of a horror movie. Usually I would of loved it but the spider webs and dead rat ruined it for me.
When we were poking around and trying to ignore the creepy factor of the made up beds something caught my eye.....Books! I could not get these beauties out of the falling down house fast enough! They are history encyclopedias of the years 1959-1962. I scrubbed them clean and placed them on the piano. I think they like their new home....
What is so great about my found treasure is it is 3 of my favorite things wrapped into one! Books, old pictures, and history. It does not get much better than this!

Nacho not Nachos
Hey look it's Linzi!
Saturday we made our way to the Shuck House. I love going to the Shuck House. I mean really love going to the Shuck House. The food is never less than perfect, there is always a story to share, and there are 2 beautiful kiddo's to giggle at. So why in the world are we not there more often!?!? Sure they are one town over but it is not like I drive a horse and carriage and have to get home before the storm comes and the river gets to high to cross!!
Their almost 3 year old daughter Stella was far too busy for me to snap a shot of her. I will get one next time of the busy little bee......
One of the highlights of the evening was when John told us a fantastic story about one of his adventure of being a Police Officer. One time he was called to sweep an abandoned building which had an alarm triggered. He was walking room by room with his gun pulled and he came across someone sitting in the dark, he yelled "freeze! put your hands where I can see them!" They did not move so he yelled again "put your hands up!" Still nothing....He then was moving to the front of the chair to physically take the man down and realized it was a manikin. hahahahahahahahaha Now that's a funny story!!!!!!!

Their son Collin is 7 months and is beyond just handsome. This baby is insanely wonderful! And believe me I know this because I spent over half the night staring him.

Random American Idol Thought
Did anyone else notice Katy Perry's cape at the first of her perform on American Idol last night? She only flashed it for a second but I guess it goes unsaid who she is wanting to take the AI crown. I am cool with her making a statement. Some individuals are throwing a fit saying it is unfair. But seriously the people who vote already have their minds made up and I doubt Perry's cape will win Adam any votes. I think it is refreshing to see an artist have an opinion. We have had our favorites this season but not flipping for either one to win. It will be interesting to see where Adam's career goes. Hope he does not follow Taylor Hicks path.
My work has a SuperHero
Do not come out to the store anytime soon! Err...wait....that is not right....What I meant to say is.....If you come out to the yard in the next couple of days bring a gas mask! Our sweet little Peng defended her home, she fought a good fight, she showed that skunk who is the boss!!
The mean skunk tried to get under the building where Peng has her little ones at the moment.
As soon as she discovered the intruder she would have pounced with all her might. She forced the nasty pest back out the door he came from. All while her 3 furry kittens watched in awe of their mom and learned what it takes to be a real woman. This lady is little but mighty!
I made up this whole story........I really have no idea what happened. I do know the whole office smells of skunk, Peng was in a tussle last night, the smell is unbearable where the cats are, and Peng has a yellow stain on her coat.
poor kitty. poor us.
disclaimer: this is a repeat post from my works blog.

A morning with the Cargill Boys
After two days of spending time with the new nephew I got to work to find out these two little angels were spending the morning at the store. When did I get so lucky?
Wyatt was playing the game "Don't let Aunt Christel take my picture." He won.
And of course Sutton sat perfectly still and said CHEESSSEEE!
